Kautzi is an ever-expanding collection of illustrated items, designed by Patrizia Monnerjahn. Her bold, cheery graphics are based on handmade paper-cuts and inspired by her maritime surroundings on Cape Breton Island. The first Kautzi designs came to life during a screen printing workshop in 2013. Seeing how her little improvised creations made people smile, Patrizia continued to develop printed goods to brighten up your day. Over the years, her work has grown into a variety of illustrations. Patrizia enjoys cutting and taping together simple shapes out of old cardboard boxes, which she then scans and edits digitally. This process not only creates the illustrations’ characteristic rough and textured look but also helps her to work more intuitively and playfully.  Kautzi goods aim to be genuine and environmentally friendly. They are printed on recycled paper stock from 100% post-consumer fibre.
